Content Lifecycle Management
Manage content from ideation to archival with stages, version control, content repurposing, and automated archival workflows.
Content Lifecycle Stages
Content moves through lifecycle stages: Idea (brainstorming, not yet drafted), Draft (work in progress), Review (awaiting approval), Scheduled (approved, queued), Published (live on platforms), Archived (no longer active). Each stage has specific actions and permissions.

Idea Management
Capture content ideas before drafting: Add ideas to idea board, Tag with category, pillar, platform, Assign priority (high, medium, low), Assign to team member, Convert to draft when ready. Ideas don't count toward post limits.

Use the idea board for content brainstorming sessions. Capture all ideas, then prioritize and schedule the best ones.
Version Control (Coming Soon)
Track content versions and changes: Auto-save creates version snapshots, View version history (who changed what when), Restore previous versions, Compare versions side-by-side, Branch content for A/B testing. Version control prevents accidental overwrites and enables experimentation.
Content Templates
Create reusable content templates: Caption templates (fill-in-the-blanks), Image templates (with brand elements), Campaign templates (consistent messaging), Wizard templates (pre-configured wizard settings). Templates ensure consistency and speed up creation.
Content Repurposing
Repurpose successful content across platforms: Convert Instagram post to Twitter thread, Turn blog post into carousel, Adapt webinar into short video clips, Update and repost evergreen content, Translate content for different regions. Repurposing maximizes ROI on content creation.
Automated Repurposing
Set up automation to repurpose top content: Trigger: Post reaches 10K impressions, Action: Duplicate post and adapt for different platform, Schedule for 30 days later. This extends the life of successful content without manual work.
Content Expiration
Set expiration dates for time-sensitive content: Sales and promotions (expire after event), Seasonal content (expire after season), Time-limited offers (expire after deadline). Expired content auto-archives to keep calendar clean.
Archival Workflows
Archive content automatically or manually: Auto-archive posts older than 90 days, Auto-archive posts from completed campaigns, Manually archive outdated or off-brand content. Archived content: Doesn't appear in calendar or searches, Can be viewed in Archive section, Can be restored if needed, Counts in analytics historical data.
Content Sunsetting
Sunset outdated or off-brand content: Identify content to sunset (outdated claims, old branding), Unpublish from platforms (if possible), Archive in Audenci, Document reason for sunsetting, Redirect traffic (if applicable). Content sunsetting maintains brand consistency.
Social platform posts can't be unpublished via API. You must manually delete from platform, then archive in Audenci.
Content Performance Decay
Track content performance over time: Initial performance (first 7 days), Extended performance (8-30 days), Long-tail performance (30+ days). Identify content with staying power for repurposing vs short-lived viral content.
Evergreen Content Management
Manage evergreen content that doesn't expire: Tag as 'evergreen', Schedule for periodic reposting, Update facts and data annually, Track performance over multiple posts, Optimize based on best-performing version. Evergreen content provides ongoing value with minimal new creation.
