Slack & Email Notifications
Set up Slack workspace integration and email notifications for real-time alerts on post publishing, approvals, comments, and analytics milestones.
Notifications Overview
Email and in-app notifications are fully available. Slack integration is coming soon.
Stay informed with real-time notifications via: Email alerts (available now), In-app notifications (available now), Slack workspace integration (coming soon), Telegram bot (coming soon), SMS alerts (enterprise only, coming soon). Configure which events trigger notifications and how you want to be notified.
In-App Notifications
In-app notifications appear in notification bell: Post published successfully, Post failed to publish, Comment on your post, Mentioned in comment, Approval request, Status changed, Team member joined, Credit balance low. Click notification to view details and take action.
Email Notifications
Configure email notifications in Settings → Notifications: Select which events trigger emails, Set frequency (instant, daily digest, weekly digest), Choose email address, Enable/disable categories (approvals, publishing, analytics). Daily digest emails send once per day at 9am in your timezone.
Use instant emails for critical events (failed posts) and daily digest for less urgent updates (analytics).
Slack Integration Setup
Slack integration is on our roadmap and will be available in a future update. The information below describes planned functionality.
Connect Audenci to your Slack workspace: Go to Settings → Integrations → Slack, Click 'Connect to Slack', Authorize Audenci in Slack, Select default channel for notifications, Configure notification types, Test integration.
- Click 'Connect to Slack'
- Sign in to your Slack workspace
- Authorize Audenci app
- Choose default channel (#marketing, #social-media, etc.)
- Configure which events to post to Slack
- Click 'Save Settings'
Slack Notification Types
- Post Published - Success confirmation with link
- Post Failed - Error details and retry instructions
- Approval Needed - Request with post preview and approve/reject buttons
- Comment Received - New comment with reply button
- Follower Milestone - Celebration message (10K, 100K, etc.)
- Analytics Alert - Significant changes (spike in engagement)
- Campaign Started/Ended - Campaign lifecycle notifications
- Credit Low - Warning when credits < 20% remaining
Channel Routing
Route different notification types to different Slack channels: Publishing events → #social-media, Approval requests → #content-approvals, Analytics alerts → #marketing-analytics, Errors and failures → #tech-alerts. Channel routing keeps teams focused on relevant notifications.
Slack Interactive Buttons
Take action directly from Slack: Approve/Reject approval requests, Retry failed posts, Reply to comments, View post details, Open in Audenci. Interactive buttons save time - no need to open Audenci for simple actions.
Interactive buttons require Slack app installation. Standard webhook integrations are view-only.
Notification Formatting
Slack notifications include: Emoji indicators (✅ success, ❌ failure, ⏳ pending), Post preview (caption, image thumbnail), Platform icons (Instagram, Facebook, etc.), Action buttons, Link to post in Audenci. Rich formatting makes notifications scannable and actionable.
Mention Notifications
Get notified when mentioned: @mention in post comments (Slack + email), @mention in internal post comments (Slack + email + in-app), @mention in approval comments (all channels). Mentions ensure you see important messages directed at you.
Notification Frequency Settings
Control notification frequency: Instant (immediate notification for each event), Hourly Digest (batch notifications every hour), Daily Digest (once per day at 9am), Weekly Digest (Mondays at 9am), Critical Only (only failures and urgent items). Choose frequency based on your role and workflow.
Mute Notifications
Temporarily mute notifications: Mute specific notification types, Mute all notifications for X hours, Mute during out-of-office, Do Not Disturb hours (e.g., 10pm-8am). Prevent notification fatigue while staying informed when needed.
Best Practices
- Use instant Slack notifications for critical events
- Use daily email digest for non-urgent updates
- Route notifications to appropriate team channels
- Test notification settings before going live
- Mute notifications during focus time
- Review notification settings monthly to optimize
- Train team on responding to approval requests via Slack
