Media Library Management
Organize, search, and optimize your media assets with folders, tags, bulk operations, and AI-generated content tracking.
Media Library Overview
The Media Library is your centralized hub for all images, videos, and generated content. Upload files, organize with folders and tags, and quickly find assets when creating posts.
Accessing Media Library
Access the Media Library from: Sidebar navigation (Media Library item), Post editor ('Add Media' button), Content wizards (image/video selection steps), Global search (Cmd/Ctrl + K, then search for media).
Uploading Media
Upload media using three methods: Click 'Upload' button and select files, Drag and drop files into Media Library, Paste images from clipboard (Cmd/Ctrl + V). Supported formats: JPG, PNG, GIF, MP4, MOV, WEBP.
Files are uploaded to S3 and thumbnails are generated automatically. Large videos may take 30-60 seconds to process.
Folder Organization
Create folders to organize media by: Campaign (Q1 Launch, Summer Sale), Content type (Blog Headers, Social Posts, Product Photos), Date (2026-01, 2026-02), Project (Client A, Client B), Theme (Nature, Urban, People).
- Click 'New Folder' button
- Enter folder name and description
- Drag media into folder
- Create subfolders for deeper organization
Tagging Media
Add tags to media for flexible filtering: Product tags (iPhone, MacBook), Theme tags (summer, holiday, professional), Style tags (minimalist, vibrant, dark), Subject tags (people, nature, food). One file can have multiple tags.
Tag consistently across team using a shared tag taxonomy. Document common tags in your team wiki.
Search & Filtering
Find media quickly with search and filters: Text search (searches filenames and tags), File type filter (images, videos, all), Folder filter (show only media in selected folder), Tag filter (show only media with specific tags), Date range (uploaded between dates).
AI-Generated Media
Media Library automatically includes AI-generated content from: Image generation (Gemini Flash/Pro), Video generation (Veo 3.1), Content wizard generations. AI media is tagged as 'ai-generated' and linked to the generation job.
Media Details
Click any media to view details: Filename and file size, Dimensions (width × height), Upload date and uploader, Tags and folder location, Usage count (how many posts use this media), AI generation metadata (if applicable), Download/delete options.
Bulk Operations
Select multiple media files to perform bulk operations: Move to folder, Add tags, Delete files, Download as ZIP. Use Shift+Click to select range, Cmd/Ctrl+Click for individual selections.
Deleting media is permanent and cannot be undone. Media used in published posts will show broken images.
View Modes
Switch between view modes: Grid View (thumbnail grid, default), List View (detailed list with metadata), Gallery View (large previews, no details). Choose based on your workflow - Grid for browsing, List for detailed info.
Usage Tracking
Media Library tracks usage: Which posts use each media file, How many times media has been used, Last used date. This helps you: Identify popular assets, Find unused media to archive, Ensure brand consistency across posts.
Storage & Quotas
Each plan has storage limits: Starter: 5 GB, Growth: 25 GB, Scale: 100 GB, Enterprise: Unlimited. Monitor usage in Settings → Billing. Upgrade plan or delete unused media when approaching limit.
AI-generated media counts toward storage limits. Delete unused AI generations to free up space.
